NCERT is the publisher, whereas CBSE is the governing body. NCERT stands for National Council of Educational Research and Training. It is a central academic forum that publishes the course textbooks, generally for Classes 1-12. NCERT is a well-known, reputed, and reliable source of textbooks, as experts from different fields of subjects prepare these books after immense research.

On the other hand, CBSE stands for the Central board of secondary education. You might have observed most of the CBSE schools in India prescribing and using NCERT textbooks.
