IAO Exam Result 2022-2023

After the completion of all the stages, the final competition takes place, and the result of the International astronomy Olympiad 2022 will be declared. The announcement of the results will be publicized on the official website. Candidates can check their score ranks and other significant details displayed under the category of IAO 2022 results. 

The International Astronomy Olympiad 2020 was postponed to October 2021 because of the ongoing pandemic circumstances. However, it was again further postponed to 2022. Calculations of the Rewards

The International Board holds the right to modify the cut-off spot in each of the divisions listed by up to two places based on a famous vote. This indicates that they have the authority to add or eliminate two students at the category’s boundary.

• The final points scored by the three best candidates are considered 100%
• The first prize is rewarded to the candidates who score at least 90% on the exam. These candidates are awarded gold medals and diplomas.
• Candidates who score 70% or high oh but less than 90% are awarded diplomas and a silver medal as the second prize.
• Those who score 50% or more but less than 65% of the vote are awarded diplomas and honorable mentions
• The candidates who scored less than 50% receive participation certificates.
• There is a special reward and certificates for the participants with the highest marks.

Marking Scheme of IAO Exam

The practical solutions written by the participants in the International Astronomy Olympiad must comprise pragmatic execution, theoretical analysis, and complete justification. 

The information regarding the marking scheme of IAO has been tabulated below.

Parts	Marks alloted
Theory	50% of the total marks
Practical	Makes the remaining 50% of the full marks. 25% of marks are for data analysis. 25 % of marks are for observation.

Candidates aiming to participate in the upcoming IAO exam should prepare well in the subjects of Physics and Mathematics, as a majority of the questions appear from these subjects. It is significant to learn the basic concepts.
