IAO Exam Syllabus: International Astronomy Olympiad Syllabus includes extensive content in fundamental astronomical concepts. It involves both theoretical and practical problems. Candidates need a basic understanding of Mathematics and Physics at the high school level to solve the problems. Calculus, complex numbers, and solving differential equations should not be employed in standard solutions to problems. Practical and observational problems may provide benefits from astronomical software packages.

The International Astronomy Olympiad syllabus is more or less the same as the CBSE Physics Syllabus for classes 9-12. However, it is only a rough directive. The NSEA does not offer a comprehensive curriculum. INPhO has a similar syllabus to that of NSEA. Scroll down to go through the International Astronomy Olympiad syllabus 2022.
