The written exam will be conducted in various centres across the country for 400 vacancies that have been announced. UPSC will conduct NDA Exam following COVID-19 precautions. Candidates who had applied for NDA/NA (I) 2022 Exam should download their admit card if they haven't done so already. UPSC has notified important details in the admit card which must be carefully read and followed by the candidates. Along with the list of exam centres, UPSC has also released important guidelines which must be adhered by the candidates appearing for the exam. They are as given below.

1. Wearing mask is compulsory

Wearing of mask and covering face is mandatory for candidates. Candidates without mask/face cover will not be allowed entry into the Venue. However candidates will have to remove their masks for verification.

2. Social Distancing

Social distancing should be adhered to at all times. Candidates should follow social distancing inside the exam hall and at the venue as well.

3. Compulsory documents for verification

It is mandatory for candidates to carry a copy of their admit card, valid identity proof such as aadhar and two identitical passport size photographs. Those candidates who do not have their admit cards will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. In case, the photograph is not visible/blurred or not available on the e-Admit Card, candidates are advised to carry two (2) identical photographs (one photograph for each session).

4. Ball Point Pen

Candidates are also advised to bring Black Ball Point Pen as the candidates shall be required to fill the Attendance List and the OMR Answer Sheet with Black Ball Point Pen only.

5. Items not allowed in the exam centre

There are certain items which are not allowed in the exam hall. Candidate should not be in possession of or using any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc., or camera or Bluetooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future Examinations. Valuable/ costly items and bags are also not allowed inside the Examination Venue.

NDA Exam Pattern

There will be two shits in NDA Exam. The first test will be that of Mathematics while the second one will be General Ability Test. The duration of both the papers will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
