RBI Assistant Exam Pattern

The exam consists of 3 stages which are mentioned below-

1. Preliminary exam,
2. Mains Exam
3. Language Proficiency Test.

The weightage of each exam is covered below:

RBI Assistant Exam Pattern: Preliminary Examination

1. The exam will be held in online mode.
2.  The total number of questions is 100. 
3. The questions are objective type.
4. There are 3 sections in the exam
5. The exam will have sectional timing where 20 minutes will be allotted for each section.
6. Each correct answer will fetch a candidate with 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

The preliminary exam pattern along with the marking scheme is illustrated below:

RBI Assistant Exam Pattern: Mains Exam

• A total of 190 questions will be asked in the mains examination with a maximum of 200 marks.

• Questions from Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude will carry 1.20 marks.

• The rest sections i.e. Numerical Ability, English Language, and General Awareness will carry 1 mark for each correct answer.

• The candidates will get 1 mark for each correct answer while 0.25 marks will be deducted as negative marking

• The total time duration of the exam is  2 hours and 40 minutes.
