RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria is defined in terms of nationality, age limit and educational qualification. RBI has set certain standards along these three lines which must be satisfied by candidates in order to be able to appear for RBI Grade B Exam. As per the official notification released by RBI, candidates will be eligible to appear for RBI Grade B Exam if they are:

A Citizen of India

A subject of Nepal

A subject of Bhutan

A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settling in India

A person of Indian origin who has migrated from any of the following countries: Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam for settling permanently in India.

RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit
RBI defines certain age limit for candidates belonging to different categories. As per the official notification released by RBI, candidates should be atleast 21 years of age to be eligible to appear for RBI Grade B Exam. The category-wise upper age limit is as follows:

RBI Grade B Eligibility: Number of Attempts
RBI has defined a limit on the number of attempts for candidates. Candidates belonging to General Category have a total of 6 attempts. After exhausting their 6 attempts at the exam, candidates cannot appear again. However, candidates belonging to OBC, SC/ST, PwD categories can appear for the exam as many times as they want provided they will be within the age limit.
