With this victory, England became the first non-Asian side to win the 2010 T20 World Cup.
England defeated Ashes foe Australia by 7 wickets in the final.

2009 : Pakistan
Pakistan won their first 120 World Cup two years after finishing second in the first T20 World Cup.
