LIC Assistant Eligibility: Educational Qualification

The candidate must mandatorily possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University. There are no minimum percentage criteria to be eligible for the LIC Assistant post.
HSC (10+2+3 pattern): who have at least 10 years of service.
Matric: who has put in at least 15 years of service.
Non-matric: 15 years’ service + Indian Army unique certificate exam or corresponding examination in the Air Force and the Navy.

LIC Assistant 2021 Exam Pattern

Candidates who are applying for the LIC Assistant Exam should be aware of the exam pattern and syllabus. Because the LIC Assistant exam is divided into two phases - Prelims and Mains - the pattern varies from one exam to the next.
The LIC Assistant 2021 Exam will be held entirely online. The exam will be given in both English and Hindi. The exam format for Prelims and Mains is provided below, and applicants can acquaint themselves with it by reading the table. Candidates should be aware that there is no interview process for the position of LIC Assistant.

LIC Assistant Prelims Exam Pattern

Type of Questions: There will be 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) having 4 options and 1 correct answer.
Mode of Exam: The LIC Assistant Prelims exam will be conducted online only (Computer-based test)
Medium of Exam paper: All the questions will be in the English/Hindi language
Marking Scheme: For each correct response, candidates will be awarded a +1 mark and for each incorrect response, 0.25 mark will be deducted. 
Section and Duration: The Prelims exam comprises 3 sections that need to be completed in 1 hour. There is sectional timing in the exam, where each section is allotted 20 minutes.

Type of Questions: There will be 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) having 4 options and 1 correct answer. 
Mode of Exam: The Mains exam is also conducted online.
Marking Scheme: The marking scheme remains the same in the Mains round as well. +1 mark awarded for correct response and 0.25 mark deducted for wrong answers.
Section and Duration: The Mains exam comprises 5 sections that need to be completed in 150 minutes. There is sectional timing in the exam, where each section is allotted 30 minutes.

LIC Assistant 2021 Selection Procedure

The LIC Assistant 2021 Selection Procedure includes three rounds. The candidates will have to go through all three rounds of the selection process. Below are the given details regarding the selection procedure for LIC Assistant.
Preliminary Exam: The Preliminary Exam is the 1st phase for the selection of the candidates in LIC Assistant. Candidates qualifying this round will be eligible for the 2nd round of the selection process.
Main Exam: The Main Exam is the 2nd round of the selection process for the LIC Assistant. The candidates obtaining minimum marks will be selected for the next round that is the interview round.
