CST: Central Sale Tax.

It is a type of indirect tax that is levied only on goods sold from one state to another and is not taxed on intrastate sales or imports and exports of sales. Complies with the Central State Tax Act of 1956, Central Sales Tax (CST) is levied on registered dealers when selling goods outside the state in which they are incorporated. Example: ' Example: 'A' in Karnataka sells and delivers goods to 'B' in Kerala. CST is paid in the state where the goods are sold and the carriage commenced.
