The Railway Recruitment Board, formerly known as the Railway Service Commission, was created in 1942. The Railway Service Commission was renamed the Railway Recruitment Board in 1985.
The Railway Recruitment Board holds exams for Assistant Loco Pilot, Non-Technical and Popular Category, Group C/Group D, and other positions in Indian railway divisions and offices.

RRB NTPC – What is RRB NTPC Full Form?

Non-Technical Popular Categories is the full form of NTPC. The Railway Recruitment Board holds this exam all over India to recruit students for positions such as Commercial Apprentice, Goods Guard, Traffic Apprentice, Traffic Assistant, Assistant Station Master, and so on.
To take this exam, you must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, and for some positions, you must have completed 12th grade.

The RRB NTPC is hiring for the following positions:

  • Accounts Clerk cum Typist,
  • Junior Time Keeper,
  • Trains
  • Clerk,
  • Commercial cum Ticket Clerk,

Before the pre-COVID-19, the Railway Board had announced 35,208 openings for RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) recruitment. There were 1.26 crore individuals that applied for this exam.

RRB JE – What is RRB JE Full Form?

The full form JE is Junior Engineer.
The RRB Junior Engineer (JE) Exam is held by the Railways Recruitment Board in order to recruit individuals with scientific and engineering backgrounds to fill various technical positions in the Indian Railways.

The RRB JE 2021 Exam was held in order to fill the following positions:

  • Junior Engineer
  • Junior Engineer (IT)
  • Depot Material Superintendent (DMS)
  • Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA)
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized university is the minimum educational requirement for the RRB JE test.
There are several steps to the RRB JE Recruitment Process. There are a few stages that are designed expressly for certain types of jobs.

The following are the stages of the selection process:

  • Preliminary Exam (Computer Based Test)
  • Main Exam (Computer Based Test)
  • Document Verification
  • Medical Fitness Test

RRB ALP – What is RRB ALP Full Form?

Assistant Loco Pilot is the full form of ALP.
The RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Exam is held by the Railway Recruitment Board to recruit candidates for the Ministry of Railways.

The following qualifications are required for the RRB ALP exam:

  • Candidates must have completed matriculation and a course in the corresponding trade at an Act Apprenticeship Industrial Training Institute certified by NCVT or SCVT.
  • Those with an AICTE-recognized diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Automotive Engineering are also eligible to take the exam.

RRB Group D – What is RRB Group D Full Form?

The Railway Recruitment Board, on behalf of the Railway Recruitment Cell, conducts the RRB Group D exam. RRB Group D test is held by RRB to hire suitable candidates for various vacancies in Indian Railways departments, such as Helper/Assistant Pointsman, Track Maintainer Grade-IV, in Level 1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.

The following educational qualifications are required for the RRB Group D or RRC Level 1 exam:

  • The board expects candidates to have a minimum education qualification of 10th pass (OR) ITI from institutions recognized by NCVT/SCVT (or) equivalent (OR) National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) awarded by NCVT in order to be eligible for the RRB Group D examination.
