Under the umbrella scheme of Saksham Anganwadi and POSHAN 2.0, the Ministry of Women and Child Development will provide support to around 2,00,000 anganwadis, which will be upgraded to Saksham Anganwadis.
Umbrella ICDS – Anganwadi Services, Poshan Abhiyaan, Scheme for Adolescent Girls, and National Creche Scheme are all part of the scheme. "Saksham Anganwadis are next generation anganwadis that have superior infrastructure and audio-visual aids powered by sustainable energy and giving an improved environment for early childhood development," Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in her budget speech.The umbrella scheme received Rs 20,105 crores in the previous financial year.
Upgraded amenities such as smart teaching, smart learning, and crèche facilities will be introduced as part of the programme.

The Sakasham Anganwadi Scheme and the Poshan Abhiyan 2.0 received the most funding in the Ministry of Women and Child Development's budget for 2021-22.
