International Maths Olympiad (IMO) Exam Dates
The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is hosted by a different nation each year.
It is a high school mathematics competition.
The first International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) was conducted in Romania in 1959.
It has gradually grown to encompass more than 100 countries across five continents.
The International Maritime Organization's Board ensures that the tournament is organized each year and that all participating nations follow IMO customs and laws.

The number of dates for the IMO exam is specified in the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF).
The Olympiad exams may be held in schools on any day that the school chooses.
On the other side, changing the date is not allowed.
Different questions are put up for the tests scheduled on separate days.
Schools must submit registration forms to the SOF at least 30 days before the date of the IMO exam.

IMO Exams (Level 1 and Level 2)
The IMO level 1 exam is open to all students in grades 1 through 12.
There is no minimum score requirement for the level 1 test.
To take the level 2 exam, students must pass the level 1 test.
Students in grades 1 and 2 are not required to take the level 2 Olympiad exam.
The marks are determined on the basis of the performance of the students on level 1.
The IMO level 1 competition consists of-
- 50 objective-style questions for grades 5 to 12 and 35 questions of same nature for grades 1 to 4 are given.
- Each grade has a 60-minute exam, and instructions are in the English language.
- The sectional scores become the basis of deciding the ranks if two or more students receive the same score in the IMO exam.
