Analysis of UPSC Prelims 2022: Conclusion

The difficulty level of the question paper ranged from moderate to difficult. Although there were many new questions, this does not mean that aspirants should begin reading everything right away. For example, just because UPSC has posed a lot of place-specific questions doesn't mean you should start memorising every location on the world map. We advised you last year not to publish sports news just because UPSC requested it. And, as you can see, no such queries were asked this year. This element of surprise will always be present in the paper; all you have to do is focus on the questions that are simple and straightforward.

Those studying for the UPSC Prelims in 2023 should take note of this lesson.

  • Make sure your ideas are clear. Don't just recite facts and hypotheses off the top of your head. The simple questions are simple only for those who understand the ideas.
  • Learn how to get rid of things. Don't go to any random YouTube channel that claims to know everything there is to know about UPSC.
  • Make use of practise papers. This year, as in past years, there are certain questions that are related to the prior year in some way.
  • Take chances: As we previously stated, you should attempt more in these types of papers.
